We are currently seeking a Hardware Engineer. This is a Full-Time position that is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:



Responsibilities:
  • Product research, analog and digital design and development from conception through production
  • Design embedded systems utilizing 8-, 16- & 32-bit microprocessors
  • Utilize FPGA & CPLD design to reduce/eliminate processor overhead or necessity
  • Hardware-Software integration & in-depth interaction with PCB/CAD Department
  • Development of Product Specifications
  • Conduct design reviews for Schematics, Layouts, and product implementation
  • Designing for compliance with UL, CE, and FCC standards

Qualifications:
  • BSEE degree
  • 4+ years experience with circuit development, analysis, and testing
  • Design experience with FPGAs using VHDL or Verilog is desired
  • Experience designing hardware for microprocessors, digital data communications design, high speed switching design, high speed network design, or computer design, HDMI, working with ARM processors, nanosecond high speed circuits
  • Experience with communication protocols such as ethernet, USB, RS485, RS232, I2C, etc.
  • Exposure to Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, PCB design
  • Ability to use Altium CAD
  • Hardware testing experience using standard lab test equipment at the board level is a must
  • Good understanding of embedded systems
  • Familiarity with compliance standards
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols
