Hardware Engineer
NTI is looking for a talented, professional Hardware Engineer to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will research, design and develop state of the art products
from conception through production that are price and feature competitive.
Responsibilities will include:
Hardware Design
- Designing embedded systems utilizing 8-, 16- & 32-bit microprocessors
- Utilizing FPGA & CPLD design to reduce/eliminate processor overhead or necessity
- Performing Hardware-Software integration & in-depth interaction with PCB/CAD Department
- Analog & digital circuit development and design
- Use of Intel 8051 microcontrollers, DVI interface IC's, analog crosspoint switches and video capture, compression, and transmission techniques
Product Development
- Competitive Market Research to determine core requirements for new products and designs
- Analyzing feedback from the Marketing and Sales departments
- Providing recommendations for new system designs or modifications of existing systems
- Conferring with project managers to determine features and limitations for all projects
Project Management
- Providing time estimations and budget projections
- Developing product and project specifications
- Consulting with all engineering departments (Hardware, Software, Mechanical, and CAD)
- Evaluating factors such as cost constraints, optimal performance, and the need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration
- Contributing to all phases of the design cycle
- Monitoring the progress of new products until they are released and shipped
