Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Human Resource Supervisor, the Human Resources Generalist partners to address employee and management needs, supporting the day-to-day activities of all HR functions. The Generalist will provide a full spectrum of HR services to support the management and administration of projects and programs, including but not limited to, employee relations, recruiting, benefits, leaves, new hire on-boarding and orientation.
- Leverages proven recruiting and technical background to identify key talent and assist in the recruiting process.
- Execute recruitment and sourcing activities, including but not limited to direct sourcing, job fairs, schools, trade and industry networking, advertisements, internet posting, social media, active resume database searches, employee referrals, and outreach to appropriate organizations.
- Assist with full scope recruitment efforts (from initial sourcing, screening and testing, to offer acceptance, on-boarding and orientation) for all assigned positions.
- Prescreen and schedule all potential candidates (program and company fit, salary expectations, eligibility, etc.
- Interview potential candidates including: face-to-face and phone interviews, position appropriate testing as required, and reference checking.
- Develop and maintain positive, effective employee relations with employees, supervisors and managers in respective client groups.
- Provide subject matter expertise to employees on HR-related issues by answering questions, interpreting and administering policies, and assisting to resolve work-related problems.
- Participate in investigating and resolving basic/routine issues and concerns impacting the work environment (e.g., attendance, work rule violations, progressive discipline, and performance improvement).
- Support the human resource supervisor to ensure the most effective recruitment support is provided and results in successful hires within targeted timeframes.
- Build, develop, and maintain external relationships with "talent pools" with the goal of attracting talent to the company.
- Enter, track and update all candidate correspondence in the Applicant Tracking System as the system of record to ensure accurate reporting and policy compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Maintain employee records in a manner that is compliant with regulatory bodies and consistent with organizational standards.
- Coordinates annual reviews, tuition reimbursement, time off requests, vacation schedules, and maintains a completion spreadsheet.
- Data entry of new hires, employee discipline, merit increases, employee changes and terminations into HRIS.
- Support and recommend continuous improvement of HR processes, and assist in the development and implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
- Assist employees with visa and immigration matters. Liaison with immigration attorney
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
- Other related duties, responsibilities, projects, and cross-functional assignments required to support business objectives.
Qualifications Include:
- Strong people skills including good communication (telephone and in-person), organizational, evaluation, and negotiation skills with the ability to work and build rapport with all levels.
- A minimum of 3-5 years technical recruiting experience PHR or SPHR certification a plus
- Able to independently use MS Office products and other technology packages including social media.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn internal system and practices.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, team oriented, strong communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to self motivate, handle multiple tasks, meet established targets, and work within critical milestones.
- Results oriented and able to effectively gain extensive knowledge of customer business environment.
- Knowledge of compensation and benefits, HR laws and regulations.
- Strong background in selecting and maximizing sourcing techniques to include internal referrals, internal candidate database, internet search engines, print advertising and technical job fairs.
- Possess a wide range of experience on current external recruiting policies, practices and trends.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, problem solver with a burning desire to contribute positively to the organization's reputation and success.
- Ability to influence and build credibility and confidence at all levels.
- Strong personal and work ethics and integrity; Proven tracking record of creativity, flexibility and professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or similar discipline.
