Electronics Packaging Senior Mechanical Design Engineer



Electronics Packaging Mechanical Design Engineer Network Technologies Inc. (NTI), an established manufacturer of KVM and video switching products, located near Cleveland, Ohio, USA, is seeking a talented professional to lead company-wide mechanical design projects from "cradle to grave". NO FRESHERS. QUALIFIED CANDIDATES ONLY. Resumes that do not include all of the listed qualifications will not be considered.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Creatively design and develop sheet metal and plastic product enclosures for all NTI product lines using SOLIDWORKS and AUTOCAD.
  • Project Lead/Management, including writing product proposals, status reports, assembly procedures, calculating and tracking costs. Coordinate with sales, marketing and internal/external suppliers and provide any other planning, organizing and managing of resources to bring about the successful completion of project goals and objectives.
  • Design and develop tools and programs for the Trumpf CNC punch press ensuring maximum machine efficiency, minimizing overall product cost, and reducing the need for hand labor.
  • Work closely with other Engineering disciplines, Metal Fabrication, Production, and Purchasing Departments to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Create test plans to evaluate new electromechanical designs and contract manufactured materials.
  • Coordinate part specifications with outside vendors for contract manufactured parts.

Qualifications Include:
  • Minimum experience of 6 years in an engineering design environment with at least 2 years of Solidworks experience.
  • Must have minimum 3 years experience with sheet metal design, calculating bend deductions and resolving fabrication issues.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in project management.
  • Ability to focus on ever-shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable designing in a tight tolerance environment.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering field.
