PRIMUX ZERO-U KVM SWITCH FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES Last Update 2010/3/31 This listing provides the version number of the PRIMUX ZERO-U KVM Switch firmware files, the date of the release, and a summary of the changes in that release. 2.0 2010/03/31 Improvement: Improved On Screen Display menus for ease of use Improvement: Added support for new serial Host Adapter HA-RS Improvement: Added support for new PRIMUX MATRIX Switch Change: The default Administrator user name and password will change from “ROOT” and “NTI” (uppercase) to “root” and “nti” (lowercase). If the password has already been changed by the user from “NTI”, the upgrade process will not overwrite the new password. IMPORTANT NOTE: All Host Adapters must be upgraded to version 2.0 BEFORE the User Station is upgraded. Otherwise the Host Adapters with 1.6 and earlier versions will not be recognized by the User Station with 2.0 firmware. Once upgraded, Host Adapters with firmware version 2.0 will not be recognized by the User Station until the User Station is also upgraded to 2.0. 1.9 2008/06/26 Improvement: New User name changed from “(NEW_USERx)” to “NEWUSERx” Improvement: Automatic Video Quality Adjustment has been corrected to more accurately detect the length of the cable Improvement: Previous “RGB” setting (Video Quality Adjustment menu) has been split into: *Sharpness setting- to adjust the crispness of the images and characters *Brightness control- to adjust the intensity of the images and characters Improvement: Mouse movements have been improved when using Legacy SUN CPUs and SUN Host Adapters Note: A firmware upgrade in Host Adapters connected to Legacy SUN CPUs is required to see this improvement- upgrade using file PRIMUX_HA_SUN_1_6.b01 included with the firmware download.) 1.8 2007/08/16 Improvement: Swapped the functionality of SEARCH and FIND features- SEARCH searches via Name, Index, Comment, or Unique ID FIND only searches for a host name GOTO only searches for Index number Improvement: While using FIND, GOTO, and SEARCH modes, the search character is no longer case sensitive Added feature: Simplified Command mode editing: added TAB key functions to new editable fields on host adapter, user and user station screens NOTE: Not all screens have been TAB key enabled as of this release Improvement: User no longer needs to assign Master ID number, Master ID number is now automatically assigned. Improvement: New, simplified screens for easy administration User Edit Host Adapter Edit User Station Edit Improvement: Screens now have proper display of active hotkeys that pertain to the active screen. In previous versions, screens show hotkeys even if they were not active in that particular screen/mode.
