"We are a rural telephone/communications company, and have wire center buildings strung out over a large area, most of which can be unmanned for several weeks at a time. All of these buildings contain a lot of equipment which can generate quite a bit of heat. They are environmentally controlled, but we have had problems with the air conditioning in the past in some of the buildings. We would have no way of knowing if an air conditioner goes out. The equipment could melt down before we would know what happened.

About 2 months ago an air conditioner went out in one of those buildings. It actually was one that someone is in daily Monday - Friday. The air conditioner quit over night, and by the time the person arrived in the morning, it was already over 90 degrees in there.
