SERIMUX-S-x FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES

This listing provides the version number of the NTI SERIMUX-S-x SSH 
Console Serial Switch firmware file, the date of the release, and a 
summary of the changes in that release.

2.13    2023/05/08
	
	Feature Change: Provides the ability of the RADIUS server to automatically add a user to the serial ports and to the console port.

2.12    2022/05/19
	
	Feature Add: Upgraded OpenSSL version to 1.0.2u to support TLS version 1.2.
	Feature Add: Option to upload SSL certificates.

	Feature Add: Improves the color contrast when making selections on the web menu.
	Bug Fix: Corrects several problems with dual Ethernet connection controls.
		Adds the ability to select the Default Gateway
		Corrects problems with the network settings information not being displayed correctly on the Network Information Page.
	Bug Fix: Corrects a problem with the SERIMUX-S-x not sending the correct information to the Discovery Tool.

2.8     2018/12/26

	Bug Fix: Corrects a problem with the security update not completely removing SSH V1 support. 
		 
	NOTE: It will be necessary to restore the system to default settings (use 
	Shell Command Line command "facdefault" on page 90 of the manual) for complete 
	removal of SSH v1 support after performing the firmware update.

	Change:  This revision changes the default fan alert threshold to support the 
		 new model of internal fan used in the product.  This only effects newly     
		 assembled SERIMUX's.  No difference will be noticed by the user. 

2.6     2018/08/17

	Bug Fix: Corrects a problem with the system SSH settings not being correct upon start-up
		 or after a reboot.

	Note: This does not affect and is separate from the serial port settings.

	Feature Add: Security Update: Removes SSH V1 and adds the ability to disable SSH
		     or change the SSH port of the system.

	This does not affect and is separate from the serial port configurations.

2.1	2014/07/14

	Bug Fix: Radius authentication for web interface. 
	Bug Fix: Add primary interface subnet mask to IP alias assigned to 
		individual ports. 
	Feature Add: Add syslog records to be recorded for failed or successful 
		login on the serial control console

Note: In order for the feature added in version 2.10 to take effect and the 
firmware update to be complete, a change must be made to the Syslog settings 
to cause the Syslog feature to be updated.   Use the following procedure to 
force the update.  (This needs to be performed only once):

	1. From the Serimux Configuration Menu, press <4>-<Enter> to select 
		“Administration Settings”.   
	2. From the “Administration Settings” menu, press <3>-<Enter> to select 
		“Syslog”.   
	3. Press <2>-<Enter> to open the menu for Syslog-ng Configuration 
	4. Press <1>-<Enter> to change the syslog destination 
	5. Type in “TCP”  or “UDP” (“File” is the default)and press <Enter>
	6. Press <p>-<Enter> to apply and save the change
To change it back, 
	1. Press <1>-<Enter> to change the syslog destination again
	2. Type in “File” and press <Enter> 
	3. Press <p>-<Enter> to apply and save the change
	4. Press <x>-<Enter> to exit the menu

This change can also be performed from the web interface.  See manual page 75 
for instruction.

	Added a "clear sensor records" option to the Sensor Summary page
	Fixed a problem with adding users to the sensor access list through 
		the Web Interface

		properly reporting the lowest temperature reached
