E-LDx-y: The Liquid Detection Rope is routed in such a way that it has to cross over itself. Can this cause false alarms?

No, it will not cause any false alarms. The Liquid Detection Rope has a non-conductive polymer mesh covering two sensing wires that lie between the polymer carriers, thus preventing false alarms caused by metal contact or pressure.
