E-AVDS: How to Remotely Cancel Repeated Calls From the Dialer?
When an alert occurs, the E-AVDS will call each designated number a pre-configured amount of times (known as ATTEMPTS in the manual), regardless of the call being successful or unsuccessful (busy or no answer).
If an alert call is successfully received and the user wants to terminate the activated channel and its associated future call attempts, he can do this by pressing “1” and then “#” twice within a second. This overrides the pre-configured number of ATTEMPTS the E-AVDS will dial and restores the terminated channel to a non-alarm, re-armed state. If the user is in listen-in or two-way mode, simply press “#” twice in one second to remotely turn the alarm off. Note that a user is not restricted to pressing “#” only two times, thus if the system is unresponsive, it is possible to press “#” multiple times to ensure the signal tone is recognized.
If fewer repeated calls are desired, please re-program the ATTEMPTS configuration for the dialer to a smaller number (manual page 9).
