E-1W: What is the Correct Daisy-Chain Configuration for 1-Wire Sensors
When connecting 1-wire sensors to an E-1W in a daisy-chain configuration, connect the sensors in series using an E-RJ11-x cable and RJ11-3JCK splitter. The splitter has a side with two ports and a side with a single port.
Connect an RJ11 patch cable from the E-1W to the 2-port side of the RJ11 Splitter. Attach a 1-wire sensor to the 1-port side of the splitter. Use the second port of the 2-port splitter end to attach to a second splitter via RJ11 cables. Continue in the same manner to connect up to 24 1-wire sensors.
Do not connect the splitters and sensors to the E-1W in a Y formation (by attaching the -1W to the 1-port side of the splitter and then connecting two more splitters to the 2-port side of the splitter, and so on) as the sensors attached will not be recognized by the E-1W.
