E-16D: Not receiving SMS text messages

Issue: Not receiving SMS text messages.

Cause: SIM card is not configured or installed properly.

Solution: Check the SIM card configuration, installation, and verify its IMEI number under “Enterprise Configuration.” Ensure that an unlocked GSM 3G SIM card is being used and that it supports SMS messages.

OR

Cause: Tower signal strength is weak.

Solution: Adjust the position of the modem antenna based on the signal strength shown in the “GSM Modem Status” under “Enterprise Configuration.”

OR

Cause: There is a space in front of the SMS number.

Solution: Check the Contact Settings for the specific user. Ensure that the SMS number entered is correct and there is no space before the phone number.
