    Keyboard
  • Female 6 pin miniDIN. Use ADP-5D6MD for AT keyboards.
    Mouse
  • Female 6 pin miniDIN.
    Monitor-VGA
  • Monitor Connector is female 15 pin high density.
    Power
  • 110 or 220 VAC at 50 or 60Hz.
    Communication Ports
  • All eight connectors are female eight pin miniDIN.
  • Each of the eight ports can support a daisy chain of four students.
  • The last student switch must be terminated with COM-TERM.
    Video Ports
  • Bandwidth is 150MHz.
  • 1600 x 1200 resolution.
  • All eight connectors are female 15 pin high density.
  • Each of the eight ports can support a daisy chain of four student switches for a total of 32 students.
  • The last student switch must be terminated with VGA-TERM.
  • Unused video ports on the CL-TKVM must be terminated with VGA-TERM.
CONTROL - ON SCREEN DISPLAY (OSD)
On Screen Display
  • On Screen Display allows the teacher to configure the classroom system using a mouse or the keyboard.

  • Type CONTROL + ` to activate the OSD. The main menu will be superimposed on the teacher’s screen. (“ ` ” is the accent mark located on the same key as the tilde “~”.)

On Screen Display Features
    Main Menu
  • The main menu displays the eight available modes of operation.
  • Each menu has a HELP dialog.
    Inhibit
  • This feature allows the teacher to disable the keyboard
    and mouse for selected students.
    Broadcast
  • Allows the teacher to select a video source to be displayed on any or all of the students' monitors.
    Override
  • Allows the teacher to select a keyboard and mouse source to control another computer.
    Status Window
  • Displays the configuration of all students' systems.
    Blank
  • Allows the teacher to blank the screen for any or all students' monitors.
    Scan
  • Automatically displays any or all students' screens in sequential order.
    Name Entry
  • Allows the teacher to enter names for each student.
    Setup
  • Screen saver time can be set. Time can be from one to 60 minutes.
  • Scan interval time can be set. Time can be from one second to five minutes.
  • Diagnostic mode shows all keyboards and mice found on the
    communications ports and displays whether they are active or inactive by teacher command.

  • Up to four student switches can be daisy chained together.
  • The last student switch must be terminated with VGA-TERM.
  • The final student in a chain can be up to 50 feet from the teacher's CL-TKVM.

  • Up to four student switches can be daisy chained together.
  • The last student switch must be terminated with COM-TERM.

Materials needed for typical configuration of one Teacher and eight Students classroom system.
Configuration assumes that there are two daisy-chained cascades of four students each off of the Teacher Controlled Switch (CL-TKVM).
