Power up/restart the computer and press the delete key to enter the BIOS settings. Select the "Advanced" set up and then the "Super I/O configuration"
Press the escape key to return to the "Advanced" set up. Select "Remote Access Configuration"
Save the settings and exit. |
Update BIOS in the BMC using the flash update tool. Set the IP info by booting into DOS and running the "ipnmac.exe" tool. Use the "ipmitool" or the "IPMI View" software provided with the server to complete the set up for BMC. Note: default username: ADMIN default password: ADMIN |
Use the bootconfig command to set the serial port redirection for the operating system to the specified COM port and speed. Bootcfg Command Syntax: bootcfg/ems on/port com# /id # /baud # Example: bootcfg/ems on/port com2 /id 1 /baud 19200 In the example above, console output is redirected to COM2, the boot entry is specified as 1 and the port speed is set to 19200 |

Power up/restart the computer and press F2 to access BIOS On startup press Ctrl+E to access BMC.
Press the escape key, save settings and exit to return to BIOS. In BIOS, select "Integrated Devices"
Press the escape key to return to the main BIOS set up.
Save settings and exit. |

In the "Advanced" set up, select "IPMI" and configure the LAN settings. Note: These settings are at the bottom of the page. Use the page down key Press the escape key twice and exit saving settings. |
