Features & Applications

The KEEMUX-Sx SUN KVM Switch allows a user to control up to 128 SUN computers with one keyboard, monitor and mouse. Dedicated internal microporcessors emulate keyboard and mouse presence to all attached SUN computers 100% of the time so all computers boot error-free.
  • For ULTRA 5, 10 or any other SUNs with a VGA port, use a universal switch.
  • Control all network computers from one office.
  • Improve manageability of your computer room - eliminate extra cables, monitors, keyboards and mice.

Control Methods

Keyboard
  • Female 8 pin miniDIN connectors.
  • Will hard- or soft-boot all SUNs.
  • Compatible with type 4 or 5 keyboards.
  • COMPOSE, SCROLL-, CAPS- & NUM-LOCK lights update upon switching.
  • Keyboard & mouse presence are emulated 100% of the time.
  • Keyboard & mouse are hot-pluggable.
  • Startup keys are supported.
Monitor
  • Crisp & clear 1900x1200 resolution.
  • Female 13W3 connectors.
  • Bandwidth is 150 MHz.
  • ID bits from monitor are sent to all attached SUNs.
Power
  • 110 or 220 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz.
Buttons on Front
  • Touch a button & be connected to that computer.
  • LEDs indicate currently selected port and mode of operation.
  • Hold a button in for more than 2 seconds and go into SCAN, BROADCAST, or COMMAND mode.
Keyboard
  • Type <CTRL> + <'> or <COMPOSE> + <'> to go into COMMAND MODE.
  • Press <ESC> to leave COMMAND MODE and return to NORMAL MODE.
  • SCAN, BROADCAST or COMMAND are available from keyboard.

CASCADE SUN KVM SWITCHES TO CONTROL UP TO 128 SERVERS

  • For ULTRA 5, 10 or any other SUNs with a VGA port, use a universal switch.
  • Combine 4, 8 or 16 port units together to create a switch with up to 128 ports.
  • When connecting one switch to another, one port is used.
  • A maximum of eight slaves can be connected on one switch.
  • Control signal is daisy-chained.
  • Multiple switches operate as one from one control point.
  • All slave units must be the same size and connect to one master unit.
