Smaller Size + Lower Cost = Good Value for Customers

AURORA, OH: Network Technologies Inc today announced the immediate availability of two new desktop models of NTI's Universal Matrix KVM switch. At suggested retail pricing of $1,555 for the ST-2x8-U-DT and $2,060 for the ST-4x8-U-DT, these keyboard-video-mouse switches provide a cost savings for customers of 16% and 40% respectively over NTI's comparable rackmount models! Users retain all the functionality of the original rackmount switches, in a smaller, lighter case more suitable for desktop applications.

These low-cost electronic switches allow two or four users to individually command or simultaneously share up to eight PC, SUN and MAC computers without the need for plug-in modules. Users can easily change platforms using adapter cables. Dedicated microprocessors prevent CPUs from locking up, for reliable control. The keyboard hot-plug feature allows users to change their keyboard on the fly - even to a different platform (PS/2, SUN or MAC) - with no need to reboot. LCD display, RS232 control and an advanced On Screen Display user interface with password security are also included as standard features. Optional Dual Redundant Power Supply is also available, instantly replacing lost power in case of a failure.

"Our Universal Matrix switches were already the best value in the industry," said Tammy Kuhn, an account executive in the NTI sales department. "These new desktop units provide an exceptional set of features at a great price for anyone who needs the convenience of matrix switching."
