ENVIROMUX Privacy Statement with use of Gmail
If you have purchased or are using an ENVIROMUX® E-2D/E-5D/E-16D/E-MICRO/E-1W/E-MINI-LXO Environment Monitoring System AND want to use Gmail to send alerts from the ENVIROMUX device, the below privacy statement applies in relation to Gmail user data.
-
What information is collected?
NTI’s ENVIROMUX device saves a user-provided email address.
-
How user data is used?
In order for the ENVIROMUX device to send email alerts using Gmail, you must provide your email address. This email address will only be used by the ENVIROMUX device to send alert emails to users that have elected to receive those messages as per the user settings configured in the device software. The alert emails can include ENVIROMUX logs or camera captures as attachments as configured by the user. This email address will not be used by the ENVIROMUX device in any other way.
The ENVIROMUX device also requires user authorization to send emails using Gmail. The NTI servers will mediate the authorization between the ENVIROMUX device, User, and Google server. Once the authorization is complete, NTI servers will pass details on to the ENVIROMUX device and will auto delete any related information from the servers.
-
How is user data shared?
The ENVIROMUX device does NOT share user email addresses with any outside entity. If the user has NTI’s Enterprise Monitoring Software for centralized monitoring of their ENVIROMUX devices, then device configuration along with user email addresses will be shared with the Enterprise Monitoring Software as part of device settings. The user data or device configuration data is NOT sent to any outside entity. NTI Enterprise Monitoring Software does not use user email in any way other than as part of NTI device settings. The ENVIROMUX Administrative user, however, can download the device settings where a user’s email address can be viewed. Please contact your ENVIROMUX Administrator regarding the security and usage of configuration details of ENVIROMUX devices.
-
How long does the ENVIROMUX device keep user data?
The ENVIROMUX device will keep and continue using user-provided email addresses to send alerts until an administrative user deletes the email address from device settings. After deletion from the ENVIROMUX device, the ENVIROMUX device no longer has access to the user email.
If the ENVIROMUX device still has the email address and ENVIROMUX device is deleted from NTI’s Self-Hosted ENVIROMUX Management Software (E-MNG-SH), then all device configurations are removed from the server running ENVIROMUX Management Software. If the software used to manage the ENVIROMUX device is the client/server-based Management Software (E-MNG), then device data is deleted once the temporary files on server folder and the device are deleted from the ENVIROMUX management software.
-
Limited Use Requirement
Data use and data transfers by NTI’s ENVIROMUX software and devices to any other application that receives information from Google APIs (directly or indirectly) will adhere to
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Gmail is the trademark of Google LLC.
