Aurora, OH: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) introduces low-cost precision sensors compatible with the ENVIROMUX-2D/5D/16D Enterprise Environment Monitoring Systems. The sensors enable users to accurately monitor temperature and/or humidity in critical areas and receive alerts when readings go out of range of a configurable threshold.
The new sensors are connected to the ENVIROMUX units via CAT5 cable and support RS485 communications with a data rate of 96kbps. They have a high resistance to external influences on the cable due to their digital output signal. Requiring only a 5VDC voltage supply, the sensors have a maximum current consumption of 20mA. Powered by the connected ENVIROMUX unit, no additional cables or power supplies are necessary to connect the sensors, thus providing much flexibility in any configuration.
The ENVIROMUX-STS-PRC Low-Cost Precision Temperature Sensor supports applications from 32 to 140°F (0 to 60°C) and is accurate to within ±0.2°F (±0.1°C). The ENVIROMUX-STHS-PRC Low-Cost Precision Temperature/Humidity Sensor supports applications from 32 to 140°F (0 to 60°C) and 10 to 80% relative humidity, and is accurate to within ±0.4°F (±0.2°C) and ±1.8% relative humidity. Up to 1,000 feet (305 m) of CAT5/5e/6 cable (not included) can be used to connect the sensor and an ENVIROMUX monitoring system.
The ENVIROMUX-STHS-PRCIND-x Low-Cost Industrial Precision Temperature/Humidity Sensor is ideal for harsh environments. It supports applications from -40 to 185°F (-40 to 85°C) and 10 to 80% relative humidity, and is accurate to within ±0.4°F (±0.2°C) and ±1.8% relative humidity. It comes with an attached CAT5e cable in standard lengths of 10/25/50/100 feet or custom lengths up to 1,000 feet.
Available for immediate sale, the ENVIROMUX-STS-PRC costs $155, the ENVIROMUX-STHS-PRC costs $250, and the ENVIROMUX-STHS-PRCIND-x costs between $299 and $498.
